- How to play:
- ------------
- I've always believed in basics, and that's why we're going to take
- this simple. First, you'll have to load the game. Then there'll be
- instructions, which is very good since you never remember the
- instructions from the documentation when you've started the game.
- (and everybody hasn't got printers and every game isn't
- multitasking i.e this game) But we'll take the instructions here
- anyway, so you won't feel the reading of this doc completely wasted.
- First we'll shoot the steering keys...
-
-
- Ingame:
- -------
- Numeric Keypad:
- 4 - Is left (or, should I say, YOUR left, and the pieces' right,
- depending on where the pieces' "face" is situated)
- 5 - Rotate the piece around to make it adjustable to the
- other pieces (This is a very essential key for completing
- the game)
- 6 - Is right (or Your right and etc, etc)
-
-
- The Non-numeric keypad:
- P - Is Pause (when the going gets tough, the tough goes pausing)
- - Is dropping the piece down to the ground, or on the other
- pieces which you have already dropped.
- (that blank space are, Yup,you got THAT one right,
- the big, maffahullaSPACEBAR-watchumacallem)
-
- Escape - End current game.
- deadzoft - For a little, happy tune and some other changes
- (which you'll probably notice).
- deadzone - Equal to deadzoft.
- Left MooseButton - Quit it all!
-
-
- NotIngame:
- ----------
- Space - Start game (Yup, just like that).
- Left Moosebutton - Quit all activity and return to the
- Command Line Interface.
-
- So, that was the key-instructions, so now you know what you'll have
- to do when the game's loaded and ready to run. BUT, what's what on
- the screen, and how do you deal with it, what's the point, where are
- my goals in life, why are we here and other questions might pop up
- in your head in this situation. Well, the first thing you'll notice
- is a text plotting up before a screen which is jumping up'n'down.
- When you have read the text on that screen, you'll probably be eager
- to play, so push space and WOW!
-
- There it is,the first piece in the game, floating down towards the pit.
- Now, I can hear you ask yourself "Oh dear, how will i ever know where
- to place the pieces when the floor is nowhere to be seen for at least
- the nearest five-six seconds? I might just as well reset this game
- at once." But, if you watch the little white sortaversionofastcreen
- to the left, you'll see that it's a little version of the BIG screen,
- so you'll get a whole perspective of the game.
-
-
- The meaning of The Game: (T-Triz2.0 off course:-)
- --------------------------------------------------
- Who hasn't played the superb TETRIS. Therefore I don't explain the rules.
- Just the points, and those goes as following:
- By dropping the piece faster you get a load of points because it's more
- difficult.
- For each line you remove you get ten points or something like that.
-
- Conclusion: Press space as often and much as possible and remove lines
- as often and much as possible to get as often and much points
- possible.
-
- (I have made a little cheat, but how, when and where it works is up to
- you to find out. A little hint: "Talent Are among the Best".)
-
- Problems:
- ---------
- The program takes about 300k chipmemory so if you have problem with the
- loading and got a "Unable to load foo:bar: Error code 103 ", you can:
-
- If it's crunched you can crunch it up and save it back to disk.
- You can also run e.i "Add44k", "Wbdepth" or "MemClear" to get as much
- chipmem free as possible.
- Or simply buy yourself a extra memory.
- If nothing of the above is working I have no idea of your next move.
-
- (T-Triz2.0 should work on all Amigas I have tested it on 1.2, 1.3, 1.3.4
- & 2.0 ECS 500:s and I hope it will work on the 1000-3000 machines too.)
-
-
- Miscellaneous:
- --------------
- This program was developed under the period of August to December 1991.
- It was programmed on an Amiga 500 & 500+, using Devpac Assembler,
- the graphics were drawn in Deluxe Paint III and was converted to raw
- with PERverter1.0(dz). The music were composed in Compositive(dz), DeadZofts
- multitasking Noisetrackerclone using a special phasingroutine (dz)..
-
- The sounds are a tricky part, some of them are selfdrawn, Others are just how
- Xoper would sound in a tune and the samples are ripped from Cadaver.
- (If there is a law against ripping and using samples, just forget that last
- one.)
-
- For the interested it should be said that DeadZoft has programmed a tiny
